Just out of curiosity, is anyone having any luck with The Sims 3? I bought it from Amazon yesterday and installed it and only had a few minutes to play it by the time everything was finished updating. Then today it tells me that there are game updates available. It gets like 2/3 through downloading and just stops.

A separate app run by EA games to even begin downloading the Sims game. Please, take my advice and either go to the store to get it or buy the CD and let if arrive VIA mail.

The download window completely vanishes. The game won't launch. Every time I try to launch the game, it throws an error saying the game could not start. Very frustrating. One of the reasons I got this computer is because I thought it would be able to run the sims:/ Definitely not a very good impression for this first time Mac user.
